What is the BRAVE Program?

The BRAVE Program (Braveheart Rapid Assistance for Veterans & Emergency Responders) is The Camp Braveheart Foundation's new emergency financial assistance initiative created to stand in the gap when crisis hits hardest. Built on compassion, accountability, and rapid response, BRAVE will provide 24‑hour turnaround support for veterans, first responders, and their families facing urgent needs such as housing instability, utility shut‑offs, funeral costs, treatment transportation, emergency food assistance, and other crisis‑stabilization needs.

Eligibility
Requirements

Who is eligible to apply?

The BRAVE Program provides rapid emergency financial assistance to veterans, first responders, and their immediate family members living in Columbiana County who are experiencing an urgent, crisis‑level need.

Eligible applicants must be facing a situation that threatens their safety, stability, or ability to meet essential daily needs — such as housing insecurity, utility shut‑offs, food shortages, transportation barriers, or other critical hardships.

Support is designed for short‑term, emergency situations, and even if an applicant meets the eligibility requirements, approval is not guaranteed. All requests are reviewed by the Board to ensure responsible stewardship, alignment with program guidelines, and availability of funds. Assistance is provided based on urgency, documented need, and the program’s capacity at the time of review.
